These awards are designed to recognize, celebrate, and make visible the achievements of women in high technology fields. Through these awards, women who  work in these professions are encouraged to stay in the Greater Rochester area, mentor young women, and contribute to the economic growth of the region.  Help us celebrate our 20th year by nominating someone today!

2020 Keynote:  Dora Maria Abreau – Amazon

Dora Maria is a Program Manager based in NY on the Engineering Excellence Team. In her previous roles she has been an avid technology and education professional. She has progressive work experience in IT Support and as a Software Engineer / Developer, IT Support, Trainer, Educator but also in career, professional and personal development skills. She has worked in the Technology, Education, Telecommunications, Aerospace and Financial sectors. Ms. Abreu has received a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Information Systems and Applied Math and a Master’s of Science in Management Information Systems as well from Stony Brook University and then a Master’s of Education in Technological Information Systems from Columbia University.

Technology Woman of the Year – nominee must have a minimum of five years’ experience in a leadership role

Emerging Technology Professional Woman of the Year – nominee must have fewer than 5 years in an individual contributor or leadership role
