Technology Woman of the Year Nominee

Eileen Wirley

Chief Information Officer, Monroe Community College

 Since April 2016. Eileen Wirley has been the Chief Information Officer & Associate Vice President, Technology Services at Monroe Community College.  Highlights of her team’s achievements include the renewal and replacement of aging infrastructure, architecting and implementing technology for the new Downtown Campus, and establishing a cyber security program based on the NIST 800-53 standards. Currently Vice Chair of the SUNY Council of CIO’s, Eileen will begin a two year term as Chair in June 2020. 

As the Associate Chief Information Officer at the University of Rochester for six years, Eileen’s primary responsibilities included University Data Center Strategy and Operations, Systems Engineering, Contract Management Program Office and Help Desk services. 

Eileen was Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Carestream Health, Inc., the $2.5B manufacturing company that resulted from the divestiture of Eastman Kodak Company’s Health Group. 

During her 25 years at Eastman Kodak, Eileen held several IT Director roles, including divisional CIO and Global Operations positions.  As Global IT Director for Application Operations, she managed a worldwide internal staff of over twelve hundred systems analysts who provided design, development, project delivery and support for a portfolio exceeding two thousand applications, including the multi-year multi-million dollar worldwide rollout of ERP (SAP) across Kodak. 

Eileen has management experience in several business unit functions, including Customer Service and Supply Chain & Logistics. Her international experience includes a 2 year assignment in London at Kodak’s European Region. 

Eileen earned her MBA degree from the University of Rochester Simon School, and a BA degree from the University of Notre Dame (magna cum laude/Phi Beta Kappa). She sits on the IT Analytics & Operations Advisory Board for the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame, as well as on the MIS Advisory Board for the Saunders College of Business at RIT.
