Arkatecht

Director, Member at Large

Yasmin Mattox is the Founder and CEO of Arkatecht, a technology company that creates web-based professional advancement tools that cater to working parents’ needs, but can be used by all. She earned a B.A. in Political Science from Alfred University, and an M.S. in International Studies from St John Fisher College. Raised in New York City, she moved to Rochester once she received her Bachelor’s in 2007. Yasmin has worked in the legal, mental health, renewable energy, and higher education fields.

She has launched two businesses, Y. Mattox Research and Consulting, in 2012, and Arkatecht, in 2017. As the principal of Y. Mattox Research and Consulting, Yasmin conducted social science research for U.S.-based and international clients, utilizing her interdisciplinary expertise. Arkatecht helps working parents by using software to automate some of the critical (and time-intensive) tasks that they need to complete in order to advance their careers, so they don’t abandon their dreams of professional advancement. Arkatecht’s proprietary SaaS product, Atlast, is a community-centered learning platform for human services professionals, particularly those working in mental health and social work. Yasmin and her husband, Jamel, live in Penfield, and are raising three daughters. She was honored to be named Tech Rochester’s 2020 Emerging Technology Woman of the Year, and she is a proud member of Jack and Jill of America, and a trustee for the Rochester Police Foundation.
